overview

A distribution center for sporting goods. Approximately 80,000 items are picked by type, sorted by retail store group, and then sorted by store, resulting in efficient sorting by store. The three levels of the warehouse are connected by conveyors, significantly reducing the distance people have to travel.

Customer testimonials

Although sorting by product type and store is still done by humans, product transportation and peripheral work have been automated as much as possible. In particular, the high-speed sorter that sorts by group in retail stores quickly sorts products picked by product type sent from upper floors. The material handling system that was introduced has greatly improved logistics services to stores.
