Okura Iron Works was founded by Genjiro Okura as the first president, in Befu village (Befu-cho, Kakogawa city, Hyogo).

The factory was constructed at president site, with improved facilities (Noguchi-cho, Kakogawa city).

1955

Gravity conveyor "Corocon Carrier" and "Flowrack" were released.

1960

Okura Yusoki Co., Ltd. was established.

1962

Genjiro Okura received the Yellow Ribbon Medal.

Gravity conveyor "Free Curve Conveyor" was released.

1964

Okura Yusoki entered into a technical partnership with FMC Corporation of the United States and produced Japan's first "palletizer".

The company Japanese name has changed to Okura Yusoki Co., Ltd.
Genjiro Okura was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Fourth Class.

Norio Okura, current Chairman, appointed President.
"Truck Loader" was developed and launched. 

1971

Okura Service Co., Ltd., a maintenance business company, was established.

1978

Introduced new "Uni-con" conveyor series, for light to mid-weight cargo.

Entered into a technical partnership with Kettner GmbH of Germany and released the first palletizing robot, "Robot 1."

1981

"Cartesian coordinate type robot palletizer" was released.

1982

"Belcon Mini", lightweight conveyor was released.
"High Speed Sorter", automatic sorting system was launched.

1984

Received the Science and Technology Agency Director-General's Award for the development and contribution of the palletizer.
"Articulated Robot Palletizer A Series" was launched.
"Pick Teacher System", digital picking device was released.

Released "Jabcon", lightweight conveyor.
Released "Carbel Sorter", automatic sorting machine.

1988

Introduced "Uni Sorter", a high-capacity sorting system for boxes.

Norio Okura received the Blue Ribbon Medal
Established Okura Flexible Automation Systems (OFAS), a local corporation in Singapore.

1996

Established Columbia/Okura L.L.C., through joint venture with Columbia Machine (U.S.A).

Established stainless steel drive conveyor for medium loads "Cool Conveyor".

1998

President Norio Okura promoted to Chairman, and Vice President Ryoichi Okura promoted to President.

Acquired certification under "ISO 9001"an international quality control standard for all business locations and affiliated companies.

2000-2009

Kakogawa East Plant obtains ISO14001 environmental management system certification.

2003

Released Palletizer "PHC80S"
Established OFAS Shanghai a subsidiary of OFAS Singapore. 

2005

Released the resin chain conveyor "Okura Carry Line"
Introduced the "PHC100S", a super high-capacity palletizer for boxes. 

2006

Launched selling "Disk Sorter", an automatic sorting system. 

2007

Received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for the development and contribution of the Uni Sorter.

2009

Light-duty conveyors "Belcon Mini III", "Jabcon II" and "Pick-a-toru series" light-based picking system, were introduced.

From 2010

2010

Established OFAS Jiaxing, first Okura group's overseas factory.

2011

Released "Fine Conveyor II", light-duty conveyor.
Ryoichi Okura received the Yellow Ribbon Medal.

2014

Released "Cool Conveyor II", stainless steel conveyor.
Solar power generation began at the Head Office Factory and Kakogawa Higashi Factory.

2015

"Ai1800 series robot palletizers" were introduced.
"TRUE Okura", a joint venture of OFAS Singapore and THAI RUNG UNITED ENGINEERING(TRUE) was established.

2016

"Unicon V", case handling conveyors were released.
"Ai700 series robot palletizers" were released.
"PTI picking system" was released.

"PHC80L" a high-capacity palletizer for cases and Cross Belt Sorter for medium-sized cargo were launched.

The LED sorting device "PTI System" won the "Japan MH Grand Prize Special Award" from the Japan MH Association.
